CAPE CLASP GUIDE: A DAY IN PROVINCETOWN
Situated at the tip of Cape Cod, Provincetown is one of our favorite places to spend time. The town has a lively main strip (Commercial Street), but also plenty of beautiful natural spaces to escape the craziness.
We were lucky enough to spend last week in P-Town and have pulled together our favorite stops for spending a day in the picturesque town. We also linked to our latest IGTV video below with a behind-the-scenes look at our beach day.
Get your caffeine fix
Start your morning right with a coffee and a freshly baked goodie at Wired Puppy right on Commercial Street. The shop, which has a sister location on Newbury Street in Boston, is committed to sustainable and eco-friendly practices. Do your part and remember to skip the straw with your order!
Soak up the rays
Now that you’ve enjoyed the most important meal of the day, pack up the car with ocean-friendly beach supplies and head to Race Point Beach. Race Point is one of our favorite beaches on Cape Cod because of its beautiful stretches of white sand and breathtaking dunes. If you secure an ORV sticker, you can even drive out onto the beach and set up camp for the day!
Grab a lobster roll
After you’ve gotten your fill of the beach, head back into town for an afternoon lobster roll at Pepe’s Wharf. Pepe’s is a must-try spot for lobster rolls on the Cape, and it has a beautiful view overlooking Provincetown Harbor.
Shop ‘til you drop
Post-lobster roll, continue strolling through town and shop at the dozens of stores dotting the streets. Some of our favorite spots are Tim-Scapes for shirts, BoardStiff for beach gear, and Marine Specialties for eclectic gifts. Don’t forget to pick up souvenirs to bring home - fudge and taffy from the Penney Patch are always a safe bet!
Enjoy dinner by the water
The Mews Restaurant & Cafe is the perfect place to relax after a long, fun day in Provincetown. The mouthwatering menu is full of delicious plates that will show you why Cape Cod is famous for its seafood!
Get a cone for the road
Grab an ice cream cone at Lewis Brothers Homemade Ice Cream on your way out of town. The shop has been making its homemade ice cream in town since 1997. With a long list of flavors, you’re sure to find something you’ll love.
