Thousands of Cold-Stunned Turtles Saved in Texas
Amidst the devastating cold-front that has recently affected much of Texas, volunteers without heat or power, save cold-stunned sea turtles that washed ashore South Padre Island. Rescuing over 4,900 sea turtles, making it “the largest cold-stunning event documented in the US”.

6 Pirate Skeletons Found From Whydah Gally Wreck
At least six new pirate skeletons were recently discovered from the Whydah Gally shipwreck in 1717 near Wellfleet. Modern technology allows explorers to compare the pirate’s DNA to that of living relatives.

Endangered Whale Carcass Found Washed Up in Italy
Officials discovered a Finback whale carcass near an Italian port in Sorrento. Measuring around 65 feet long, and weighing 77 tons, making it one of the largest whale corpses to ever be found in the Mediterranean Sea.
