Named for strawberry-colored cells called photophores that dot its skin and provide its distinctive glow, the Strawberry Squid can be found in the tropical and subtropical waters of the Atlantic Ocean at depths ranging from 1,000 meters (3,300 feet) to the surface, where they come to feed at night.
